Articles of Faith

  •  We believe in only one true and living God; and that there are three persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, one and the same in essence, equal in power and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Jeremiah 10:10; II Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19, John 15:26, John 10:30; John 14:26

  •  We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God: that they are of the divine authority, that they contain the whole of the divine purpose as revealed to man, and that they are the only standard of divine truth, and the only sufficient rule of faith and practice. (II Peter 1:20-21, II Timothy 3:15-17, I John 5:9, I Thessalonians 2:13, Revelation 22:18-19, Deuteronomy 12:32)

  •  We believe in the everlasting love of God to His people in the eternal and unconditional election of all His spiritual children to grace and glory. (Ephesians 1:4-6, II Thessalonians 2:13-14, II Timothy 1:9, Romans 9:11-16, I Corinthians 1:26-31, Acts 13:48

  •  We believe that by the everlasting covenant, grace is treasured up in Christ to insure the regeneration, sanctification, and preservation of all God’s people, so that none of them shall finally be lost. (Hebrews 13:20-21, I Peter 1:2, Exodus 24:8, II Timothy, 1:9, Ephesians 1:4, John 17:12, John 6:37 & 44-45)

  •  We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God only by the righteousness of Christ imputed to them. (I Corinthians 1:30-31, II Corinthians 5:19-21, Philippians 3-9, Jeremiah 23:6, Ephesians 2:7-8, Romans 4:8, 25)

  •  We believe there is one Mediator between God and man, the Man Christ Jesus, Who by the satisfaction He has made to law and justice in becoming an offering for sin hath forever redeemed His people from under the curse of the law, that they might be accepted in the beloved. (I Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 5:7-10, Hebrews 9:14-15, John 17:2, Ephesians 1:6, 18-23)

  •  We believe that good works are not meritorious; that they are fruits of faith, and follow after justification; and that it is the duty of all believers to perform them from a principal of love. (Ephesians 2:10, Titus 3:8, James 2:17-18, II Peter 1:5-10, I John 3:16-18, I Corinthians 13:1-8)

  •  We believe in a separate resurrection and judgment of the saved and lost and that the happiness of the righteous and punishment of the wicked will be eternal.  (John 5:28-29, II Corinthians 5:10, I Thessalonians 4:14-18, Revelation 21:4, Psalms 9:17, Luke 16:19-31, Revelation 20:11-15)
